Turkish Chocolate Cake
11:26
Before you ask.. I'm not exactly sure this is an authentic Turkish chocolate cake recipe (or if there is such a thing!). All I know is my boyfriends mother, who is Turkish, showed us the recipe and I convinced myself that I was exploring a different culture. Side note: That is a Turkish tea pot in photo, so let's just pretend!
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 200g butter (unsalted)
- 200gs dark chocolate
- 140gs caster sugar
- 80g flour
Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees
2. Melt chocolate and butter together. (Using a Pyrex bowl sitting in a pot of boiling water)
3. Mix sugar, eggs and flour.
4. Add chocolate mix to egg mix.
5. Butter a Pyrex dish like above.
6. Cook for 20 minutes.
This cake is best eaten hot from the oven with ice cream, thank me later guys, thank me later! Pop this one on in the background for a boogie as you bake Dire Straits & Mark Knopfler - Sultans of Swing
Enjoy x
